Monsanto contracted with Hayden Wrecking to demolish dryers that were supporting conveyors at their facility in Boone. IA. The schedule required the completion of the project prior to the beginning of the grain harvest in August. The dryers were located adjacent to equipment and structures which were to remain in place. Hayden Wrecking trained demolition craftsmen utilized manlifts and cutting torches to selectively dismantle structural components on the dryer in order to separate it from the structures to remain. Mississippi Lime Company contracted with Midwest Service Group to abate asbestos and remove the existing baghouses, preheaters and associated structures at their facility. Midwest Service Group subcontracted the dismantling of the baghouses, preheaters and associated structures to Hayden Wrecking. The iters that were be to removed were situated around equipment and structures that were to remain in place. Helmkamp Construction Company was contracted by Tinuum Services, LLC to remove existing limestone equipment, install new equipment and perform structure modifications, etc. Helmkamp Construction subcontracted the removal of the existing limestone equipment to Hayden Wrecking. Hayden Wrecking lead exposure trained demolition craftsmen utilized a manlift, cutting torches and a hydraulic crane to dismantle the elevated limestone conveyors and support structure. Our craftsmen then utilized burning bars to cut up a stainless steel coal hopper. The salvageable material generated from the conveyors, structure and hopper were taken to a recycling firm.

Westlake Chemical contracted with Hayden Wrecking to demolish the existing 45’ x 60′ × 50’ tall 2 cell cooling tower during a department shutdown. The cooling tower was adjacent to a control room and equipment that was to remain in place. The basin for the cooling tower was to remain in place and to be left undamaged. The project schedule allowed 12 hours to complete demolition and clean up so a new cooling tower could be erected in the same foot print. Rentech Nitrogen contracted with Hayden Wrecking to dismantle the existing 140′ tall Prill Tower within their operating facility. The Prill Tower was aluminum construction and was surrounded by operating facilities and structures that were to remain in place. Hayden Wrecking utilized a lattice boom crane and its trained demolition craftsmen to dismantle the Prill Tower in sections. The sections were further dismantled utilizing a standard size demolition excavator equipped with a rotating shear then loaded into recycling containers.

Weyerhaeuser contracted with Hayden Wrecking to dismantle a Salt Cake Tower and Calciner at its facility in Oglethorpe, GA. Both structures were in close proximity to existing operations. Hayden Wrecking demolition craftsmen trained in lead exposure utilized manlifts, cutting torches, and a hydraulic crane to dismantle the Salt Cake Tower. The breaker building contained numerous types of process equipment. Buzzi Unicem USA is a manufacturer of cement products that contracted with Hayden Wrecking to dismantle existing precipitators and their associated structures that were no longer being utilized. These precipitators and structures were located between rotary kilns and a stack that were to remain in place. A portion of the precipitators contained asbestos so Hayden Wrecking subcontracted the removals to an asbestos abatement firm. Magnus Pacific subcontracted with Hayden Wrecking to provide a 90’ Ultra High Demolition Excavator equipped with rotating work tools and a Demolition Operator to demolish and dismantle the existing structures.
