Atlas Industrial Contractors was contracted by General Motors to remove the existing equipment and structures in the Body Shop and install new equipment during a plant shut down. Atlas Industrial Contractors subcontracted the removal of the existing equipment and structures to Hayden Wrecking. The project schedule required the work to be performed working 12 hour shifts around the clock until it was completed so the plant could resume operations. SP Cooling Technologies was contracted by PCS Nitrogen to replace their existing 6 cell cooling tower at their facility in Lima, OH. SPX Cooling Technologies subcontracted with Hayden Wrecking to perform the demolition of the existing cooling tower during a plant shutdown. The project schedule allowed 5 days for demolition and cleanup. New piping was installed along the length of the existing cooling tower prior to demolition which limited access to one end to perform demolition and cleanup.
